Wine Cork Christmas Trees

I am always on the look-out for wine cork projects.  As soon as I saw 4EyesandEars’ cork trees, I knew I had to make one.  The only problem?  It takes 72 corks plus 4 for the trunk.  I can’t drink that much wine in an entire year (I’m more of a tequila girl myself).  Luckily, my mom goes to art and wine shows all the time.  She has started collecting the left over corks from all the vendors.  It was one of her rare creative moments. 
I love how it turned out!

    Embarrassed to say I easily have 72 corks! Yikes....

    But now I'll put them to good use!! Thank you so much for sharing this! I was thrilled to open it up and see it was from "I'm a yarner" :-)

    What kind of glue did you use? I just tried this and hot glue will not stick.

    so cute! i decided to make one too but smaller for an ornament and hot glue would not stick! Ending up using straight pins...what kind of glue did you use?

    I used hot glue, but I used a ton of it on each cork.

    Thanks for the comment over at rosieredbuttons.blogspot.com! I actually found the template by typing clock into a google images search. It came up with a ton, so I just saved one and then put it into photoshop. I hope that helps! Love your blog, this tree is darling!
