We've had several busy weeks lately and I just can't seem to keep up with everything. As soon as I came back from Hawaii it got crazy at work and at home.
We've been trying to get Madison into any school except the one in our district, but no luck. The private school we applied to was full, the first charter school had a lottery and we didn't get in. We ended up number 143 on the waiting list. I have one more lottery tonight and I'm waiting on two letters for an inter-district transfer. I hate this part of parenting.
In between all of our craziness I finished a few project life pages.
This first week was huge for me. It's totally silly, but for me, it was huge. I've been dying my hair since I was a sophmore in high school with my friend Mandy in her bathroom. Ever since I can remember, I've wanted blonde hair. Not just blonde, but super blonde. Christina Aguilera blonde, Girls Next Door blonde.
I finally made the decision after 18 years, to try my natural hair color. I just got tired of paying so much money every couple months. I'm still getting used to it.
The next week was my rainy Hawaii trip. We had one sunny day and then three full days of rain, thunder and lightning and flash flood warnings.
I still had a great time, but it's really hard to take pictures when you travel by yourself. I ended up with a lot of scenery pictures and pictures of my feet - in the sand, at the airport, etc.
I included an insert for the two pictures Mike took of the girls while I was gone. It's not much, but at least he tried.
Your album is looking awesome!! Looks like you went to a gorgeous place for your vacation!! I am also a knitter, you can see a pic of my latest knitting creation in my PL photos from last week if you check out my blog :)
ReplyDeleteyour pictures are great. I hear ya, started drying my hair in junior high, and still going strong, hate me natural color. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteReally lovely pages!!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great Sandy. I went back to my natural last year and I really liked it. Then the gray hair started to really come in -- gasp!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hear you about the school situation in Sacramento. I'm sure you have researched it all -- but if you need a last resort I can recommend: David Lubin, Theodore Judah, Phoebe Hearst and Leonardo da Vinci. Those are all in our area. We are at Lubin and love it.
Great pages! Looks like a beautiful spot for a vacation:)
